Leadership development outside the box

What happens when relationships matter just as much as the bottom line? You create a thriving workplace built on psychological safety where people flourish and profits follow.

That’s the kind of transformation we help leaders and teams achieve at Gry. It’s not always a smooth ride - our process goes deeper than most - but it leads to something real. A more authentic, vibrant organization. The kind of change you can see, feel, and trust to last.

Mission

Philosophy

Inner growth for outer change

Lasting change starts within. When you grow as a leader and a human being, it shows. Your leadership becomes more grounded, your team grows, and your organization thrives. And when organizations are healthy - mentally, socially, ecologically, and financially - they help build a better, more sustainable world.

We believe the world needs leaders who are confident, courageous, and able to build strong relationships while navigating complex challenges. That’s the heart of the Inner Development Goals (IDG) - a Swedish initiative we deeply align with. IDG outlines the inner capacities we all need to reach the UN’s sustainability goals.

Our method, ERL (Embodied Relational Leadership), is built on this same foundation. We focus on the deep inner work that strengthens the skills IDG identifies as essential – from self-awareness and relational intelligence to systems thinking and handling complexity.

Everything is connected. And it all starts with you.

ERL: Leadership is about your whole self

Method

Our unique method ERL: Embodied Relational Leadership goes deeper than traditional leadership training. It brings your whole self into the process: body, mind, and relationships. You grow through real experiences, meaningful interactions with others, and in-the-moment feedback. It’s hands-on learning you can apply directly to your daily leadership.

ERL brings more life and flow into how you lead. When you connect more deeply with yourself and strengthen your self-leadership, you’re able to meet your team in a way that builds trust, safety, and growth. Simply put, you develop a black belt in relationships - the most important skill a leader can have.

The Gry Story

Two people, one shared vision: Leadership that puts people first.

It started with a meeting

In 2019, winds of change were blowing – at least for Patrik Gyland. After 20 years running his own leadership consulting firm, Progressa Plus, he was ready for something new. A fresh chapter. A way to take everything he’d learned about leadership development to the next level.

That shift began at an event on relational group processes and self-leadership where he met Fredrik Gynnhammar, who was leading the event. Right away, it was clear they shared something important: a passion for leadership, personal growth, and making a difference in the world.

The rest is history. Because that meeting sparked the beginning of Gry.

As we got to know each other, it became clear we shared a big interest in deep personal development. We wanted to help people grow. And that vibrant leadership, psychological safety, and trust-based relationships are the foundation for a better world. At every level.

1+1 = 3

It was simply a match made in heaven. So we started imagining what we could build together - a space for deep leadership development that drives real, lasting change. We noticed right away how we complemented each other. It really was 1 + 1 = 3. And we shared a belief that true development involves the whole person - mind and body. That became the heart of everything we do. Teaming up - and letting Progressa Plus evolve into something new - just made sense. Choosing the name Gry came naturally too. For us, Gry means energy, momentum, and the beginning of something powerful. Like the first light of day, full of possibility.

Throughout his career, he’s worked as a psychologist in both education and healthcare, founded and led his own leadership consultancy (Progressa Plus), and served as CEO of a residential care facility with 20+ staff. Fredrik Gynnhammar

Organizational Consultant

Fredrik began his career as a physiotherapist, but today his passion lies in helping people grow, inside and out. After nine years in healthcare and additional studies in psychotherapy, he shifted his focus to what truly drives him: embodying a deeper leadership that supports both personal transformation and positive change in the world.

As a specialist in embodiment, Fredrik has run his own practice, guiding people to become more embodied through therapy, training, and workshops focused on relational presence and personal growth.

Beyond his unique blend of physiotherapy and psychotherapy, he brings rich life experiences from around the world – from meditation retreats in Southeast Asia to monastic life in California. These experiences shape the way he works: helping people unlock their inner strength, discover new parts of themselves, and connect with what truly inspires and moves them. In short – to explore the depths of human potential.

Fredrik is a curious and vibrant seeker with a zest for life. He's passionate about human relationships, meditation, and life's big questions. Outside of work, you'll likely find him deep in conversation, dancing, or halfway up a mountain.
